Customer Service Representative

Christy & Co Ltd has been manufacturing fine hats in England since 1773 & is the only company in the world still making high quality blocked felt hats, panamas, top hats and bowlers in the traditional way, using hatting skills established over 245 years ago and keeping a valuable British industry very much alive.

Today, Christy' offers a collection of men's and women's hats ranging from formal, to fashion and sports hats, & has recently launched a range of men’s accessories to extend the range and compliment the hat collections. Christys' sister business, CW Headdress Ltd, also supplies bespoke ranges for the military and for police forces.

Christy & Co Ltd is based in Oxfordshire and has expanded its sales through wholesale partners to over 44 countries across five continents. We currently retail through our website and have 2 directly operated shops in London and have plans to expand our retail network rapidly over the next few years.

Key Responsibilities

1. Order entry and order management

- Entering orders accurately and in a timely manner onto the Company NAV system

- Prioritising order loading taking into consideration lead times and delivery dates

- Communicating and Resolving availability issues – liaising with production planning and customers to resolve potential on time delivery conflicts

2. Customer Communication

- Answering calls and online portal tickets to both wholesale customers and internet customers in line with the agreed service levels and resolving any issues or queries

- Delivering a personal and friendly service to all customers via telephone, emails and in the outlet store

- To help customers with product enquiries.

- To help customers online and to process their orders and any other general website questions using the online Freshdesk and Magento platforms

3. Sales Administration

- To assist in administration tasks within the department including the generation and allocate hangtag and barcode labels.

- Filing and any other sales/Customer Service duties as required.

- To understand hat sizing/materials/product/production process – in order to be pro-active in assisting the Sales and any public inquiries

- To input/track and arrange collections for all shipments with all company carriers, including DPD FedEx and UPS

4. General Reception and Administration

- To answer the door to our visitors and to be one of the first to answer phone calls, taking clear accurate messages and redirecting as necessary

- To work within the factory shop where possible helping customers with any queries and actively making sales where possible and any other shop duties as required

- Assist with office admin tasks – yearly filing and general housekeeping– as required
