The highly polished Taller Fur Felt Top Hat, Edwardian style, provides a striking outline at any formal occasion. The top hat was the status symbol of the 19th Century gentleman and flourished in the 1930’s when Fred Astaire, Gary Cooper, Marlene Dietrich and others bought it back into favour with new motion pictures. Christys continues to produce a fabulous range of top hats to the traditional methods using melusine hoods.
Christys Top Hats have specific size recommendations as the Topper is a structured hat, we recommend purchasing 1 size bigger than your actual head size.
We will include felt reducers which fit under the sweatband to give a more comfortable wear.
The Fur Taller Top Hat has a 6¼" crown height rather than the 5¼" standard version - this provides a striking outline at any formal occasion. This top hat is made from a melusine hood; a prestigious fur hat body made from 100% fur, from true bi-product, using the longer fur fibres creating a luxurious appearance.
